With the aim of encouraging afternoon consumption and paying homage to the “larpeira” tradition of the city, 18 establishments in Compostela will be holding the third edition of the “Santiago Pasi\u00f3n Dulce”<\/a><\/strong> initiative from 23 March to 2 April, a programme that began in 2016 under the umbrella brand name of Compostela Gastron\u00f3mica. Promoted by Tourism of Santiago<\/a> and the Hospitality\u00a0of Compostela\u00a0Association<\/a>, it is also intended to contribute to the consolidation of Santiago as a gastronomic destination based on the sweetest tradition.
\nDuring these dates the local participants will include in their menus traditional sweet products and preparations of the city and Easter, in snack format, which will bring to the present time ancient recipes brought centuries ago by religious orders or rediscover the long tradition of chocolate, transferred to Europe thanks to the contribution of the Camino de Santiago that will add to the famous bread rolls and the popular Easter eggs.
