{"id":27894,"date":"2018-10-01T20:04:47","date_gmt":"2018-10-01T20:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/desarrollo.clusterturismogalicia.com\/the-galician-tourism-cluster-renews-its-management-with-a-new-president-and-increased-representation-of-its-members\/"},"modified":"2018-10-01T20:04:47","modified_gmt":"2018-10-01T19:04:47","slug":"the-galician-tourism-cluster-renews-its-management-with-a-new-president-and-increased-representation-of-its-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/desarrollo.clusterturismogalicia.com\/en\/the-galician-tourism-cluster-renews-its-management-with-a-new-president-and-increased-representation-of-its-members\/","title":{"rendered":"The Galician Tourism Cluster renews its management with a new president and increased representation of its members"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The General Assembly voted on the only list submitted to the elections, which involves the addition of five more members.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe Library of the City of Culture of Galicia today hosted the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Galician Tourism Cluster with a single point on the agenda, held elections to choose the composition of its governing body, the Executive Council, whose representatives are elected every four years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the vote of the associates and approval of the only list presented, the new Executive Council was composed by Ces\u00e1reo Pardal as president of the entity; H\u00e9ctor Ca\u00f1ete continues as vice-president and C\u00e9sar S\u00e1nchez-Ballesteros is incorporated as secretary and Alfonso Mart\u00ednez as treasurer. Together with them, the associates elected a total of twelve members, all of them representatives of some entity adhered to the Galician Tourism Cluster. The Executive Council is thus incrusted in five members, based on what is established in the Statutes and the Internal Regulations of the CTG approved this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thus, the composition of the Executive Council is as follows (in brackets the entities they represent):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chairman: Ces\u00e1reo Gonz\u00e1lez Pardal (Galician Federation of Rural Tourism, FEGATUR)<br \/>\nVice-president: H\u00e9ctor Ca\u00f1ete del Campo (Provincial Association of Hotel and Catering Businessmen of Coru\u00f1a)<br \/>\nSecretary: C\u00e9sar S\u00e1nchez-Ballesteros Fern\u00e1ndez (Hotel Bah\u00eda)<br \/>\nTreasurer: Alfonso Mart\u00ednez Cacheda (Consorcio Tur\u00edstico de Empresarios de Sanxenxo, CETS)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Members:<br \/>\nLorena Varela de la Pe\u00f1a (Ruta do Vi\u00f1o R\u00edas Baixas)<br \/>\nBel\u00e9n Montero L\u00f3pez (Galician Association of Congress and Exhibition Centres)<br \/>\nEmma Gonz\u00e1lez Di\u00e9guez (Ourense Fair and Exhibition Foundation, Expourense)<br \/>\nRafael Benito Cases (Asociaci\u00f3n Empresarial de Hospedaje de A Coru\u00f1a, Hospeco)<br \/>\nJos\u00e9 Francisco Real Castro (Provincial Association of Hotel Businesses of Lugo, APEHL)<br \/>\nSara Mar\u00eda Santos Ferreiro (Compostela Catering Association)<br \/>\nCarlos Jaime Rodr\u00edguez Carro (Centre for New Professions, CENP)<br \/>\nOvidio Fern\u00e1ndez Ojea (Provincial Association of Hotel and Catering Businessmen of Ourense)<br \/>\nJuan Antonio Rivadulla Fern\u00e1ndez (Galician Travel Agencies Association, AGAVI)<br \/>\nJes\u00fas \u00c1ngel Picallo Santos (Asociaci\u00f3n de Empresarios do Cami\u00f1o de Santiago a Fisterra e Mux\u00eda, Cami\u00f1o do Solpor)<br \/>\nFrancisco Gonz\u00e1lez L\u00f3pez (Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Pontevedra, Asehospo)<br \/>\nDiego Otero Villaravid (Abramar)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is thus an important renewal of the management body of this association, with an increase in the representativeness of the entities associated with the Cluster which is reflected in its Executive Council, taking into account the increase in members that has occurred in the Galician Tourism Cluster since its creation until today, which has a total of 64 member entities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A tool at the service of the sector<\/strong><br \/>\nIn addition, four women are incorporated for the first time to this governing body, recognized professionals of the tourism sector who will occupy positions as spokespersons, which means the incorporation of a female quota of 25% of the total elected representatives. Both were aspects highlighted by the new president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Ces\u00e1reo Pardal, who in his speech after the election, stressed his intention to continue working to consolidate this entity, creating meeting points that facilitate synergies between all actors in the value chain of tourism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For his part, the outgoing president, Francisco Gonz\u00e1lez, took advantage of the Assembly to thank all the associates for having had the opportunity to lead the launch of the CTG, which has achieved great milestones throughout these four intense years of work. Among them was the drafting of the Galicia 2020 Tourism Strategy or the management of the Q for Quality that has been extended to tourist services. &#8220;They have been thousands of hours in displacements, of work and illusion that have allowed me to see consolidate a project that is called to be the best tool to the service of our sector&#8221;, he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The General Assembly voted on the only list submitted to the elections, which involves the addition of five more members.
