Finally, the tapa “A vaca mari\u00f1a” of Mes\u00f3n Col\u00f3n was the winner of the Lugo Tapas Contest<\/strong> that has been held in recent weeks. This was announced by the Provincial Association of Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Lugo (Apehl)<\/a> in an event that took place at the Centro Cultural Vello C\u00e1rcere and in which were present the president of the Apehl, Chech\u00e9 Real, the councillor for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Promotion of the Language, Carmen Basadre, and the mayor of Lugo, Lara M\u00e9ndez.<\/p>\n

In addition, the decision of the technical jury, formed by Quique Rodr\u00edguez, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Mart\u00ednez Alonso and Constantino Iglesias Fern\u00e1ndez, was also made public. The first prize went to the Arrocer\u00eda Los Cachivaches, for the cover “Bonito ti!!!”; the second prize was awarded to Restaurante Espa\u00f1a, for “Boi roll con patacas bravas”; the third prize, to Mes\u00f3n Col\u00f3n, for “La vaca marina” (The sea cow).The best pairing with Estrella Galicia was won by Mes\u00f3n Pulper\u00eda El Castillo with “Ni\u00f1o de Polbo”; the best pairing with D.O. Ribeira Sacra, O Cincuenta e seis with “Bacallau ao queixo”, and finally, there was an honourable mention for O Castor, for his proposal “Prato criollo”.<\/p>\n
