The new map has just been approved by the Galician Tourism Council.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just over a decade ago, the map of Geodestinations of Galicia was officially presented, a tool promoted by the Xunta to “extract the full potential of the destination Galicia” articulating the territory of the community in a total of 14 areas delimited by its history and uniqueness, and designed to offer visitors a range of complementary proposals that encourage them to stay longer in this land.<\/p>\n

R\u00edas Altas (distinguishing between Ferrolterra and A Coru\u00f1a-As Mari\u00f1as), Costa da Morte, Terras de Santiago, Mari\u00f1a Lucense, Lugo e A Terra Ch\u00e1, Ancares-Courel, O Ribeiro, Terras de Ourense e Allariz, Celanova-Limia, Ver\u00edn-Viana, Manzaneda-Trevinca, R\u00edas Baixas (R\u00edas de Muros e Noia, R\u00eda de Arousa, R\u00eda e Terras de Pontevedra and R\u00eda de Vigo e Baixo Mi\u00f1o) and Deza-Tabeir\u00f3s were the 14 territories delimited in that initial map, which is now going to be restructured to “guarantee the proper functioning of this tool” and to meet the requests of the municipalities affected. This was explained by the director of Galicia Tourism<\/a>, Nava Castro, this week at the meeting of the Galician Tourism Council<\/a> to present the new map that brings the total number of Geodestinations to 26 and whose main changes affect the southeast of the community.<\/p>\n

“The ultimate goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of Galician tourism and its positioning as a key sector in the Galician economy through the development of all the territories of the four provinces, allowing to make effective our Master Plan 2021-2023 Galicia Safe Destination”, Nava Castro also explained to ask and get the approval of a body composed of public and private entities, including the Galicia Tourism Cluster.<\/p>\n

The new map is made up of Ferrolterra<\/strong>, As Mari\u00f1as<\/strong>, Costa da Morte<\/strong>, Terras de Santiago<\/strong>, Terras da Comarca de Ordes<\/strong>, Ulla-Tambre-Mandeo<\/strong>, R\u00eda de Muros-Noia<\/strong>, Barbanza-Arousa<\/strong>, Mari\u00f1a Lucense<\/strong>, Terra Ch\u00e1<\/strong>, Comarca de Lugo-Terras de Ulloa<\/strong>, Ancares-Terras de Bur\u00f3n<\/strong>, Courel<\/strong>, Ribeira Sacra<\/strong>, O Ribeiro-O Carballi\u00f1o<\/strong>, Terra de Celanova-Serra do Xur\u00e9s<\/strong>, Allariz-Maceda<\/strong>, A Limia<\/strong>, Ver\u00edn-Monterrei<\/strong>, Trevinca-Valdeorras<\/strong>, Saln\u00e9s<\/strong>, Mar de Santiago<\/strong>, Terras de Pontevedra-Morrazo<\/strong>, R\u00eda de Vigo-Baixo Mi\u00f1o<\/strong>, Condado-Paradanta<\/strong> and Deza-Tabeir\u00f3s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
