This new food and wine tourism product club seeks to promote octopus as a symbol of local identity and a driver of local development. The Casa da Cultura (Cultural Center) will be the venue for a technical conference that will bring together institutional representatives, gastronomy professionals, and tourism sector stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the opening remarks by the Mayor of Carballi\u00f1o, Francisco Fumega; the Head of the Provincial Tourism Area of \u200b\u200bGalicia in Ourense, Cecilio Santalices; the Government Delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco; and Member of Parliament Rosendo Fern\u00e1ndez. Next, the technical team will present the foundations and objectives of the new product club, conceived as a tool for territorial cohesion and for enhancing the gastronomic heritage of octopus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A space to analyze the role of gastronomy in the tourist experience<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/clusterturismogalicia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Club-de-produto-Carballino_Programa.pdf\">program<\/a> includes a presentation by food and wine expert Carlos Martins, who will discuss how cuisine and local products are integrated as a central element in contemporary tourist experiences.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After a coffee break, one of the day&#8217;s highlights will begin: \u201cProduct Clubs as a Key Element in Gastronomic Tourism,\u201d moderated by journalist Alberto Alonso. Participants will include \u00d3scar Checa, Head of Communications for ACEVIN &#8211; Wine Routes of Spain; Ces\u00e1reo Pardal, President of the Galicia Tourism Cluster; and Eva Gil, Head of the Galicia Southwest Product Club.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The final panel of the day, moderated by Adolfo Neira (a member of the Cluster&#8217;s technical secretariat), will focus on the role of local councils as key players in promoting local gastronomy. The mayors of O Carballi\u00f1o and Lal\u00edn, Francisco Fumega and Jos\u00e9 Crespo, will participate, as well as the vice president of the A Coru\u00f1a Provincial Council, Xos\u00e9 Regueira.
